The purpose of this section is to explain how the internals of the Honeywall CDROM work.
You do not need to read nor understand this section for deployment (though it is encouraged).
This is primarily for developers, or people who wish to modify the behavior of their Honeywall
deployment. Please submit all bugs/corrections for this documentation or the Honeywall
CDROM to our Bugzilla Server.

9.1 Overview
We have attempted to make the Honeywall CDROM as easy to use as possible,
while giving you full flexibility and control over the system. We also
designed the Honeywall to work as well in standalone mode as it would in
large scale, distributed deployments. This requires lots of detailed
functionality in the background, much of which you do not need to be aware
of. However, if you want to modify the system behavior, or take advantage
of some of its more advanced features, then this section is for you.
9.2 OS Base
This document explains in detail how the
OS base is configured and
architected to support the Honeywall, including use of variables.
